The euro trades around 1.1680 against the dollar in Friday’s Asian session, stronger for a third day. That is the FXStreet 01:22 UTC stamp. This is the Friday session tape. It is not a recut of Thursday’s 1.1700 high.
The same page says the euro is holding that ground on a hawkish ECB outlook even as the dollar firms. Friday’s dollar index is the live DXY tape. UOB’s 1.1725 bank note stays the live range call.
Eurozone and German flash PMI are still upcoming
HCOB flash PMI figures for Germany and the euro area have not printed. They are preview only on this tape. They are not written as released.
Destatis July PPI is already filed. That page reprints it as 3.0% year on year against 2.7%, and a 1.1% monthly rebound. It is color here. It is not a second PPI note.
The same page says European natural-gas prices, lifted by Middle East supply risk, are keeping inflation risks in view for the ECB. Upside in the pair, it writes, may stay capped while US yields resume their climb even after the Treasury long-end buyback.
The Reserve Bank of India is likely selling dollars for rupees to support the currency. USD/INR is little changed so far on Friday. The range is mid to high 95. There is no live pair number on this page.
